Presage Style 60s Crown Chronograph 60th Anniversary Limited Edition. Available only in a controlled-run of 5,000, with the production serial number engraved on each caseback, this exceptional Limited Edition blends the finest in Japanese mechanical watchmaking with superior craftsmanship and design. Celebrating the fresh spirit of the 1960s, this design is an homage to Seiko’s 1964 “Crown Chronograph,” Japan’s first watch with a stopwatch function. The dial inherits the original layout, color, and finish while the bracelet features a combination hairline and mirror finish and look and feel similar to the 1964 model. Framed by a black bezel, the light beige dial includes a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers. The screwdown see-through caseback provides a view of the 23-jewel automatic movement with manual winding capability, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Crafted of stainless steel, this distinctive timepiece includes a box-shaped crystal and tri-fold push button release clasp, and is presented in a vintage inspired Limited Edition collector’s box. 5 bar, 50M Water Resistant

Seiko's journey, which began in 1881, is a remarkable story of vision, innovation, and dedication. When Kintaro Hattori, a 21-year-old entrepreneur, opened his small shop in Tokyo’s bustling Ginza district, he laid the foundation for what would become one of the world’s most respected watchmaking companies. Initially, Hattori focused on selling and repairing watches and clocks, but his ambition was far greater. He envisioned creating timepieces that would not only be precise but also reflect the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.
In 1892, just over a decade after opening his shop, Hattori took a significant step forward by founding Seikosha, a factory dedicated to producing wall clocks. The name "Seikosha" means "House of Exquisite Workmanship," and it represented Hattori’s commitment to quality. By 1913, Seikosha had produced Japan’s very first wristwatch, the Laurel, marking a historic milestone for both the company and the nation’s watchmaking industry.
