On August 2, 1971, a Bulova chronograph engineered for lunar conditions was worn on the moon during the Apollo 15 mission. History is made again with the Limited Edition Lunar Pilot Meteorite from the Archive Series, this time with a unique dial that... reinforces its spacefaring history – meaning, no two dials are alike. The out-of-this-world timepiece features original design elements and an eye-catching six-hand chronograph dial meticulously crafted from genuine Muonionalusta meteorite. This 4.5-billion-year-old iron meteorite was discovered in Northern Scandinavia in 1906, and its varied crystalline pattern is reflected in the exclusive design that makes every dial one-of-a-kind.Luxurious updates include a 43.5mm sandblasted silver-tone grade 5 titanium case with polished accents, creating a dynamic and incredibly lightweight presence on the wrist. Slim chronograph pushers and a crown featuring the Bulova tuning fork logo are perfectly proportioned and positioned at 3 o’clock. A black tachymeter ring with a retro Bulova logo displays contrast around the dial, and the luminescent hands and applied markers offer exceptional legibility. The black recessed, circular grooved sub-dials include a 1/20 chronograph seconds counter at 3 o’clock, running seconds with a sweep hand at 6 o’clock, and a 60-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock. Powered by our proprietary high-precision quartz technology with an accuracy of seconds per year, this collector’s watch is paired with a NATO black leather strap with an easy-release system for quick changes.
