Our take
The AQ230A-3A works because it does not try too hard. The rectangular case, metal bracelet and analog-digital layout feel unmistakably retro, while the green sunray dial gives this version more personality than the usual silver or black.
It is also genuinely easy to wear. The case is only 8.1mm thick and 47 grams, so it slips under a cuff and never feels like a brick on the wrist.
Know before you buy
This is a lightweight Casio Vintage watch, not a miniature luxury watch. The case is resin with a chrome-plated finish and the crystal is resin rather than mineral or sapphire. Water resistance is intended for everyday splashes, not swimming. If you want a slim, fun analog-digital watch at around $60, that tradeoff is part of the appeal.
