Seiko Prospex Sea SRPL15

The Seiko Prospex SRPL15 takes the angular, Samurai-inspired dive-watch design in a more compact direction. Its dark dial and bezel keep the look restrained, while warm-toned luminous markers and a box-shaped Hardlex crystal give the face depth and a hint of vintage character.

The stainless steel case measures approximately 42 mm across and comes on a dark strap. A unidirectional bezel lets you track elapsed time, while the automatic movement runs from the motion of your wrist. Water resistance is rated to 200 meters.

Our Take

This is a useful alternative for someone drawn to the Samurai's sharp case lines but looking for a less imposing version. The warm markers are a small detail that keeps the nearly all-black design from feeling flat.
