Immerse yourself in the blue serenity of the stunning MRGB2100R, a proud addition to the MR-G line, the pinnacle of the G-SHOCK brand. Indulge your appreciation of luxurious quality with a slim G-SHOCK MR-G crafted with state-of-the-art metals and exquisite traditional Japanese finishes. The dial is inspired by the traditional Japanese art of interlocking woodwork called kigumi. This traditional art is reflected in the intricately assembled two-part structure of the indexes and the depth and dimension of the latticework on the dial. The tiny openings in the dial — the result of the highest precision process technology — let plenty of light through to the solar panels beneath to keep you up to speed.Inspired by traditional Japanese ink wash painting and calligraphy done in deep blue ao-zumi ink, the MRG-B2100R features a dial treated to a deep blue vapor deposition finish and accented with a touch of gold color on the seconds hand. Bezel components on the four corners are ion-plated in navy blue against a base of black diamond-like carbon coating. Similar to the intricate kigumi technique, the MRGB2100 bezel interlocks 27 different components to produce a sophisticated, uniquely G-SHOCK shock-resistance construction — each one is individually and meticulously polished for a stunningly detailed textural appearance. The state-of-the-art Multi-Guard Structure incorporates buffers between the parts to ensuring outstanding shock absorption to protect the dedicated MR-G module with a gold-plated retainer plate. The top bezel is made with COBARION®, an alloy boasting a hardness about four times that of pure titanium and a brilliant gleam comparable to platinum. The fluoro rubber band delivers exceptional comfort, with titanium components insert-molded where the band connects to the case for even greater toughness. The band’s top surface features a design motif incorporating “SHOCK RESIST” symbols, while the underside is textured in a brick pattern. This masterpiece is more than just a splendid celebration of premium metals and traditional craftsmanship. It delivers outstanding functionality, as well, with radio-controlled calibration and smartphone pairing via Bluetooth®. * COBARION® is a registered trademark of the Iwate Industry Promotion Center and is manufactured exclusively by Eiwa Co., Ltd.

G-SHOCK, the watch that brought the new concept of toughness to the timepiece.
It began with a reckless challenge to the conventional wisdom of the day, a developer’s belief that it was possible to construct a watch that wouldn’t break, even if dropped. Project Team Tough was formed to build it in 1981.
The team created over 200 prototypes one after another over a period of about two years. They finally arrived at a shock-resistant structure. This marked the birth of a technology that is tough to the core.
And G-SHOCK has continued its unceasing evolution ever since, in pursuit of greater toughness in every respect, from structure and materials to functions. Today, the development team’s passion for challenge and constant efforts have reached fruition in Triple G Resist, a structure with the strength to withstand 3 types of gravitational acceleration.
