Seiko Prospex Special Edition SRPF77

There's a manta ray hiding in the story of this Seiko Prospex Special Edition. The deep-blue graduated dial and stamped wave texture evoke shifting light beneath the ocean's surface, giving the rounded Turtle diver a sense of movement even when it's sitting still. A black ceramic timing bezel and matching deep-blue silicone strap complete the underwater palette.

The 45 mm case houses Seiko's automatic 4R36 movement, with hand winding, a day-date display and approximately 41 hours of power reserve. Sapphire crystal, luminous hands and markers, a screw-down crown and caseback, 200-meter water resistance and ISO-compliant dive-watch construction make it a capable scuba diver.

Our Take

We like the way the dial suggests a manta ray's underwater world without needing a giant illustration. It's an atmospheric take on the familiar Turtle, with the mechanical and diving credentials to back up the look.
