Seiko Prospex JAWS 50th Anniversary Limited Edition SRPL81

Fifty years after JAWS arrived in theaters, Seiko gives the film an anniversary diver with a blue-to-white dial that recalls its ocean setting. The movie title appears at six o'clock, while a navy ceramic timing bezel and deep-blue silicone strap keep the look firmly in dive-watch territory. Turn it over for the more cinematic details: the Orca boat and a shark fin engraved on the caseback.

The 45 mm stainless-steel watch has an automatic movement with approximately 41 hours of power reserve, sapphire crystal with an inner anti-reflective coating, a date magnifier and 200-meter scuba-diving water resistance. Limited to 5,000 individually numbered pieces, it comes in a themed anniversary collector's box.

Our Take

Our favorite detail is the Orca engraving on the back. It's a specific nod to the film rather than just a shark graphic on the dial, and the blue-to-white face gives the watch an atmospheric look even when you aren't thinking about the movie.
