This watch is the second global limited edition collaboration between Seiko 5 Sports and HUF, the popular skateboarding and streetwear fashion and lifestyle brand. HUF was founded in San Francisco by Keith Hufnagel, an ex-skateboarder from New York City, with a view to represent the international skate scene through a wide, but inclusive variety of cultures, ideas, designs, competitions and collaborations In a Field series-style case, the watch reflects HUF’s philosophy of rethinking and remixing vintage styles by paying tribute to skeleton dials from the 70s. It features the HUF logo at the 6 o’clock position on the ‘HUF-green’ dial. It comes in a special limited edition box, with a novelty item gift for the collaboration. Seiko 5 Sports is known for over fifty years of reliability, durability, performance and value. ‘’5’’ represents the original five key features of every Seiko 5 still present today: Automatic movement, Day-date display, Water Resistance, Recessed crown and Durable case and bracelet. In an actual product, the case back direction might be different from the photograph.

  • Seiko's journey, which began in 1881, is a remarkable story of vision, innovation, and dedication. When Kintaro Hattori, a 21-year-old entrepreneur, opened his small shop in Tokyo’s bustling Ginza district, he laid the foundation for what would become one of the world’s most respected watchmaking companies. Initially, Hattori focused on selling and repairing watches and clocks, but his ambition was far greater. He envisioned creating timepieces that would not only be precise but also reflect the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.
In 1892, just over a decade after opening his shop, Hattori took a significant step forward by founding Seikosha, a factory dedicated to producing wall clocks. The name "Seikosha" means "House of Exquisite Workmanship," and it represented Hattori’s commitment to quality. By 1913, Seikosha had produced Japan’s very first wristwatch, the Laurel, marking a historic milestone for both the company and the nation’s watchmaking industry.
