Seiko Prospex PADI Special Edition SRPE27

Seiko's Prospex SRPE27 celebrates its partnership with PADI, the scuba-diving training organization, with a red-and-blue timing bezel and PADI logo on the dial. But the case has a story of its own: its sculpted, grooved shape recalls Seiko's unconventional dive-watch designs of the 1960s and '70s. It's a special edition that combines a recognizable diving partnership with a distinctive piece of Seiko design history.

The unidirectional bezel tracks elapsed time, while luminous hands and markers and a magnified day-date display keep information easy to find. Inside is a 24-jewel automatic movement with hand winding and approximately 41 hours of power reserve. A screw-down crown and caseback, bracelet with extender and 200-meter water resistance complete the diving equipment.

We like that the PADI colors aren't the whole story here. The unusual case gives this diver a personality of its own, especially if you enjoy the stranger, more adventurous side of Seiko's vintage designs.
