The Fujitsubo name has one of our favorite dive-watch backstories. Fujitsubo means “barnacle” in Japanese, and this Promaster anniversary edition draws on that watch's classic diver design with a marine-blue dial and bezel.

Its 41 mm Super Titanium case and bracelet have a platinum DLC finish, offering a lightweight alternative to steel. Inside is Citizen's automatic 9051 movement, with approximately 42 hours of power reserve and enhanced magnetic resistance. The unidirectional bezel, luminous hands and markers, ISO-compliant construction and 200-meter water resistance support scuba diving. Limited to 4,500 unnumbered pieces worldwide, it comes in a blue collector's dive-tank box.

Our Take

A barnacle-covered watch that kept running is a much better origin story than another generic ocean-blue dial. We like how this edition pairs that history with lightweight titanium and a mechanical movement.
