Why this watch stands out
This is a chronograph that looks like a chronograph. The pushers beside the crown, the counters across the dial and the scale around the bezel are all part of its character. Against the black dial, the gold-tone details are easy to pick out without disappearing into the rest of the design.
The 45.5mm stainless steel case and matching bracelet give the Supersport a substantial presence. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a Swiss quartz movement handles the timekeeping and chronograph functions.
What does all of this do?
The chronograph lets you time an event without interrupting the watch’s regular time display. Start it with the upper pusher and the central chronograph seconds hand begins moving. The counters track elapsed time, including minutes and fractions of a second.
The tachymeter scale on the bezel can be used with the chronograph to calculate an average speed over a known distance. Time a one-mile journey, for example, and the scale gives you the corresponding average speed in miles per hour. It’s a traditional chronograph feature that also adds to the watch’s instrument-inspired dial.
Our take
The Supersport makes its timing functions part of the design rather than hiding them behind a simple face. The black-and-gold contrast brings the busy dial into focus, and the matching bracelet completes a watch that has no interest in blending into the background.
