Tap into the dawn-blue silence of Tohoku’s oldest pagoda. Experience for yourself the timeless, true spirit of the MR-G-B2100R-2A, inspired by this national treasure — nestled in the forest of Yamagata, home to the Casio factory where MR-G timepieces are carefully crafted. This exquisite timepiece brings to life the five-storied mountain pagoda shrouded silently in morning mist, capturing its beauty in the traditional Japanese hanada-iro blue of the dial. The clear blue color changes hue depending on the light and viewing angle, whispering of the mystical passage of time. The dial, inspired by a traditional Japanese interlocking woodwork technique known as kigumi, evokes timeless strength and dignity; paired with the hanada-iro design, it lends a touch of tranquil elegance to your wrist. The distinctive octagonal bezel of the 2100, a G-SHOCK iconic style, takes on carefully selected metal materials and meticulous finishes. The sophisticated, quality construction features an intricate case and bezel made up of 27 different components — each one individually and meticulously polished for a stunningly detailed look and feel. We make the most of the metal materials to create gorgeous ultra-smooth mirror finishes and apply titanium carbide (TiC) coating for even greater scratch-resistance. The state-of-the-art Multi-Guard Structure incorporates buffers between the parts to ensure outstanding shock absorption and even greater strength. A veritable master class in metal craftsmanship, the top bezel is fashioned from COBARION®,1 an alloy boasting a hardness about four times that of pure titanium and a brilliant gleam comparable to platinum. The bracelet is made with another special alloy, DAT55G,2 an extra-hard, yet highly workable titanium alloy, while the case and bezel employ the extra-hard titanium alloy Ti64. The dial features geometric patterns created by wave-like ridges and fine holes inspired by kigumi, evoking the beautiful world of latticework. Tiny gaps in the latticework dial let enough light through to generate the solar power to keep you up to speed. This traditional art is reflected in the intricately assembled two-part structure of the 12 o’clock index, the result of the highest precision manufacturing that only Yamagata Casio can produce using its nano-processing technology. This masterpiece is more than just a splendid celebration of premium metals. It delivers outstanding functionality, as well, with radio-controlled calibration and smartphone pairing via Mobile Link. The exclusive MR-G module even has a gold-plated retainer plate to reduce electrical resistance.

G-SHOCK, the watch that brought the new concept of toughness to the timepiece.
It began with a reckless challenge to the conventional wisdom of the day, a developer’s belief that it was possible to construct a watch that wouldn’t break, even if dropped. Project Team Tough was formed to build it in 1981.
The team created over 200 prototypes one after another over a period of about two years. They finally arrived at a shock-resistant structure. This marked the birth of a technology that is tough to the core.
And G-SHOCK has continued its unceasing evolution ever since, in pursuit of greater toughness in every respect, from structure and materials to functions. Today, the development team’s passion for challenge and constant efforts have reached fruition in Triple G Resist, a structure with the strength to withstand 3 types of gravitational acceleration.
