The Northern Lights inspired the graduated turquoise dial of this Seiko Prospex 1970 Heritage Diver. The shifting color sits inside Seiko's unmistakable asymmetrical diver case, a shape designed around a built-in crown protector. It's a striking contrast: an almost luminous-looking dial inside a substantial, purpose-built watch.

This edition is limited to 500 individually numbered pieces. Its 44 mm stainless-steel case and bracelet have a super-hard coating, with curved sapphire crystal and an inner anti-reflective coating. Seiko's automatic 8L35 movement offers approximately 50 hours of power reserve, and the watch is rated to 200 meters for scuba diving. An additional black silicone strap is included.

Our Take

We like how the aurora-inspired dial changes the mood of the familiar 1970 diver shape. With only 500 pieces and a spare strap, this feels like a thoughtful edition for someone who already appreciates Seiko's dive-watch history.
