The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC961 is a 39mm solar chronograph that keeps the classic racing-watch feel without the upkeep of a mechanical movement. Its V192 solar caliber runs for about six months on a full charge, with chronograph timing to 1/5 second, a 24-hour hand, date display, power reserve indicator, and tachymeter function.

The size is a big part of the appeal. At 39mm with a 45.5mm lug-to-lug, the SSC961 wears more compactly than many sport chronographs while still giving you a stainless steel bracelet, curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, LumiBrite hands and indexes, and 100m water resistance.
