Seiko's Prospex SRPH59 takes the Turtle nickname literally. Its blue dial has a pattern inspired by a sea turtle's shell, and the caseback carries a sea turtle illustration. A blue ceramic timing bezel keeps the ocean colors going. It's a U.S. Special Edition that makes the familiar rounded Turtle case part of the story rather than simply adding a different dial color.

The 45 mm stainless-steel diver comes on a steel bracelet with an additional blue silicone strap. Sapphire crystal with an inner anti-reflective coating protects the luminous hands and markers and English/Kanji day-date display. Seiko's automatic 4R36 movement offers hand winding and approximately 41 hours of power reserve. A screw-down crown, 200-meter water resistance and ISO-compliant dive-watch construction complete the watch.

Our Take

We like the small joke built into this edition: a Turtle watch with an actual turtle-shell dial. The illustrated caseback and spare blue strap carry the theme through without sacrificing the practical details of a mechanical diver.
